TROUBLESHOOTING RESOLUTION PROCESS
When any issues are experienced with our smoke alarms (false alarms, chirping, etc…), we recommend the following troubleshooting process is followed:
- Vacuum the vents and the space around all the alarms in your home.
- Determine which MATelec Australia model Smoke Alarm you have by detaching the Alarm from your roof or wall and looking at the back for the model number.
- Perform a factory reset on all smoke alarms, using the below steps specific to your model.
- (Wireless units only) Re-pair together using the below ‘Pairing’ instructions.
- Install back on the ceiling and test the alarms to confirm functionality.

- High Humidity/Condensation
